August is the 8th month on our Gregorian calendar. In Hebrew, 8 is often associated with new beginnings. Especially as a child or a parent of a school age child, August brings many new things with it. Starting or going back to school, new schedules, new friends, new teachers. Even okder teens/young adults that are starting college or starting a job find themselves at the beginning of something they’ve never experienced before. It’s almost like celebrating New Years Day all over again.
Oftentimes, for new things to begin, old things must come to an end. 2 and a half years ago, we found ourselves at the end of something we loved and right smack in the middle of a new beginning that we never could have anticipated.
Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV): “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
But God has carried us through and because of the goodness of God unto us, Kingdom Ministries celebrates its 2 year anniversary this month! We look back I wonder at the way our God had His hand on us the whole time! And we know that He can do the same for you!
We humans tend to fear the unknown, and these new beginnings are no exception. But with God, we can trust that He will guide us along the way we should go and you can too! May God bless every one who is facing a new beginning this month and may God get the glory for what will come of it!
The Best Is Yet To Come!
